# Curio > Curio is an iPhone app that gives you one small idea a day across general > knowledge and practical skills, then brings each idea back at the exact moment > you were about to forget it, so what you learn actually stays learned. Curio exists because ordinary learning apps teach you something and then let it evaporate. Roughly two thirds of new material is gone within a week if nothing brings it back. Curio schedules the return. Every idea takes about four minutes: a hook, a guess before you are taught anything, three or four short cards with a visual on each, a takeaway, and questions that make you apply the idea rather than recognise a word. Answering is tapping, never typing. There are no timers, no lives, no punishment for a wrong answer. The schedule underneath is FSRS-6, the open spaced repetition algorithm that is also Anki's default. It tracks three numbers for every idea you have met: stability, difficulty, and current probability of recall. It targets 90 percent recall and picks each next review date from that. An idea counts as locked in after three successful spaced recalls, which is where the research on successive relearning says the benefit plateaus. Reviews are capped at eight per session, so missing a week never produces a backlog to clear. ## Key facts - Platform: iPhone, iOS 18 and later.
